This was the first CAT song that G.L.(Greg) Ferguson wrote while returning to Joliet, IL from Peoria, IL Building SS assembly building.

Greg wrote this song after renting a 301.5 Mini Excavator from a local CAT dealer to do some work at home.

This song was written about and for all the folks who are out in the field around the world servicing CAT equipment.

4. NICK FICARELLA TRIBUTE 2:26

Nick Ficarella was a 30-year CAT employee. Greg has worked with his son-in-law, Jim, for many years and was asked to write this song for Jim’s wife, Mary, who is Nick’s daughter.

5. RAG TIME ANNIE 2:14

In addition to working at Caterpillar, Greg has been blessed with the opportunity to play guitar for one of the finest hammered dulcimer players in the U.S. Bill Robinson has been a true inspiration and has given Greg many opportunities to record with him on his CDs. This is one of the songs Bill had never recorded and let Greg include it.


 6. CAT RACING SONGS 2:30

This song was written for all the Caterpillar folks who are also NASCAR fans and NASCAR fans who like the Caterpillar car #22.

7. CAT POWER PARADE 3:15

Greg wrote this song after attending the CAT Power Parade with his wife and daughters in Peoria, IL. As a third generation employee Greg remembers his parents taking him and his two brothers to the Power Parades when they were young and having them stand in the wheel of a large machine for a picture. Greg has done the same with his three daughters. This song is the result.

8. CPS LEGACY SONG 2:22

This is a song Greg wrote about a new tool being developed at Caterpillar to teach new employees what it takes to run the business.

 9. CAT GENERATIONS 2:58

As a third generation Caterpillar employee, Greg wrote this song about his Grandfather, Dad, and himself all working at CAT at different times and in different generations. Both Grandfather's and Dad's names are on the “Wall of Fame” in Peoria’s Building CV.
